Hani Rukh-E-Qamar (she/her)

Hani is the Founder and Executive Director of CAWI. Hani immigrated to Canada in 2011 from Pakistan and she loves art!

Ana Dumitrache (they/them)

Ana is CAWI's Senior Project Lead. Ana is originally from Romania and is passionate about supporting immigrants! Ana is currently going into law school!

Patrick Young (he/him)

Patrick is a B.Sc. honours kinesiology student with a minor in biotechnology at McGill University. He is also the current VP Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion of the McGill Varsity Council.  Patrick hopes to empower and amplify the voices of women immigrants through his role at CAWI.

Rehma Khan (she/her)​

Rehma is a B.Sc. honours psychology student at the University of Alberta. Her family immigrated to Canada when she was 12 years old and she grew up in a small town called Athabasca.

Isabella Kakish (she/her)

Isabella is an undergraduate student at McGill University. She has worked for CAWI to pursue her passion for mental health.

Chiara Wolfe (she/her)

Chiara Wolfe was born and raised on Treaty 4 Territory in Regina, Saskatchewan. She completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Justice and a Certificate in Nonprofit Sector Leadership and Innovation from the University of Regina in 2020.

Mallyna Hing (she/her)

Mallyna completed her undergraduate degree in Global and International Studies. She has a passion for community service, empowerment and advocacy. Through her position at CAWI, she hopes to amplify, support and protect immigrant women's voices.

Naomi Phung (she/her)

Naomi graduated from Mount Royal University in Calgary with a Psychology (Honours) & Sociology BA and will attend York University for her MA in Social & Personality Psychology. Her research interests include anti-racism, racial bias and prejudice reduction, and positive psychology.

Crystal Yang (she/her)

Crystal holds a B.A. in Honours Psychology at McGill with a minor in Social Studies of Medicine. She is from Toronto and is currently based in Montreal.  Aspiring to become a clinician one day, Crystal is passionate about the intersection of healthcare and social equity, and values radical empathy and supporting her community.
