Project Manager
Patrick Young (he/him)
Patrick is a B.Sc. honours kinesiology student with a minor in biotechnology at McGill University. He is also the current VP Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion of the McGill Varsity Council. Patrick hopes to empower and amplify the voices of women immigrants through his role at CAWI.

Curriculum Developer
Rehma Khan (she/her)
Rehma is a fourth-year student at the University of Alberta, pursuing a B.Sc. in Psychology (Honors) program and a leadership certificate alongside her degree. She was the curriculum developer on CAWI's Sexual and Reproductive Health Campaign and is now serving as a member of the Board of Directors for CAWI.

Research Assistant
Cassandra De Freitas (she/her)
Cassandra is an MSW candidate at McGill University. She holds a BSW, is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Certified Fitness Instructor (FIS). Cassandra is passionate about bridging gaps in services and resources directly in-community for newcomers, especially women and youth.

Research Assistant
Naomi Phung (she/her)
Naomi graduated from Mount Royal University in Calgary with a Psychology (Honours) & Sociology B.A. and is now in Toronto pursuing an M.A. in Social & Personality Psychology. She is involved in research on anti-Black racism at the University of Calgary, and her M.A. research is investigating how people cope with racial discrimination.

Zara Ahmed (she/her)
Zara completed her Bachelor of Science Honours at the University of Guelph and a Certificate in Health Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University. She is a second-generation immigrant and is extremely passionate about sexual and reproductive health in faith-based and immigrant communities in Canada!

Outreach Manager
Crystal Yang (she/her)
Crystal holds a B.A. in Honours Psychology at McGill with a minor in Social Studies of Medicine. She is from Toronto and is currently based in Montreal. Aspiring to become a clinician one day, Crystal is passionate about the intersection of healthcare and social equity, and values radical empathy and supporting her community.
